Sirius Sketchworks
Our story

From sketch circle to creative studio.

Sirius Sketchworks began in 2019 as a small weekly gathering of artists in San Francisco who wanted honest feedback and consistent practice.

How it started

Four friends met every Tuesday in a borrowed studio. They drew from life, shared sketches, and talked about what made practice sustainable.

Word spread. Within a year the circle grew to thirty people. In 2021 we moved everything online to reach artists who needed structure but could not attend in person.

Today Sirius Sketchworks serves thousands of students who return each week for live sessions, recorded lessons, and a supportive community that values progress over perfection.

Our mission

We help people build a durable drawing practice through observation, repetition, thoughtful critique, and creative confidence. No shortcuts. No empty promises.

The studio compass

Four principles guide every class, critique, and conversation.

Curiosity

We begin every session with open questions and honest observation rather than assumptions.

Clarity

We teach clear, repeatable methods that students can apply immediately in their own work.

Consistency

Small daily actions compound. We help members build routines that last years, not weeks.

Contribution

Every member is invited to share work, offer feedback, and help shape the community.
